That looks like a convincing logging camp to me.

Interesting that you were thinking about cliffs. Yesterday I was thinking about a waterfall tile but refrained from posting it because I didn't think it would work well.

When you say vigilante, do you mean vigilante or outlaw?

Did you have something in mind for another trade good?

Is there a difference in meaning?  Well, isn't vigilante French?  It sounds Latin though... perhaps Spanish...?  And by Vigilante, I mean "Robin-Hood,-but-I'm-not-allowed-to-call-him-Robin-Hood"

Did you have something in mind for another trade good?
I'll leave that up to you.  I've gotta come up with how I'm doing cliffs in Merry Men Smiley

Vigilante is more a person who upholds the law by taking it into their own hands. Robin Hood is a little similar, but the difference is that Robin Hood is breaking the law to accomplish his goals while a vigilante usually operates within the law (eg. super heroes). An outlaw is someone who has no legal rights and can be arrested and jailed or even killed on sight.

Vigilante is indeed Spanish for "watchman" and comes from the Latin word "vigilantem" which is the present tense of "to watch".

We can call him Robin des Bois if you'd like, since that was his original French name.

I personally don't need any more trade goods. I will be happy with just logs.

Well, King, Robber Baron, Farmhand, Friar, Serf, Cleric, Robin des Bois.  One of those look very out of place.  Maybe I'll just call him the "Outlaw" or the "Bandit".  I'll have to think about that.  I thought Vigilante would have been nice, but that's not too french...

Fourth page - featuring shields on cities
Thumbnail:

Progress updates:

1. Inns by roads (I&C) & Forests (15 tiles) Done!
2. Dragon icons (P&D) & Forests (3 tiles) Done!
3. Volcanoes (P&D) & Forests (3 tiles) Done!
4. Magic Portals (P&D) & Forests (3 tiles) Done!
5. Princess (P&D) & Forests (3 tiles) Done!
6. Fairs (Cat) & Forests Moved to Forest 4
7. Remaining unmade tiles from forest (7 tiles) Done!
8. City tiles with shields & forest (15 tiles) Done!
9. "missing basic configurations" from Scott (8 tiles) Done!
10. Logging Camp (3 tiles)Done!

60 tiles total.   All Done!

The very draft rules are available, but Scott has to do his magic to get it up to his standards Smiley

And for those wondering how the other Forest expansions stands:

Forest 3 "Merry Men" will have the merry men camp, the vigilante Outlaw, and 10 forest tiles featuring cliffs.  Cliffs is just a part of the natural landscape (like bridges and tunnels) that separate the landscape into distinct areas.

Forest 4 will have trade goods (more than 1?) and fairs next to forests

Forest 5 "Whispering Woods" will have forest tiles with river elements

Cappy is doing a Forest 6 Apple Orchard expansion which I think I'm doing the tiles.  I'll get those up and running over the weekend... maybe.

And I'm adding:

Forest 7 "Evergreen Forest".  This will just be an expansion where there'll be an icon on forest segments.  The rules will be similar to the shield on city segments.

At the rate we are going, we might be able to play Carc with just the forest tiles Wink

Scott, if there is nothing else by the end of Friday, could you create the final version of the rules and make the zip version available with the tiles?  Thanks!

wicke spotted a few typos and emailed me about them.  Thanks wicke!

I've updated the rules and the Public downloads page.  The link for the rules (without the tiles) is here.  The new rules with the tiles is on the Public downloads page.

If anyone spots any mistakes on any of my expansions, please feel free to post them on the appropriate thread or to let me know otherwise.  Thanks.

Edit: Updated Public Downloads file again.
