I'm going to borrow a page from Wikiprojects.  This might go down in flames, but it's worth a try.

Each month (starting perhaps in May 2009?), as a group, we will concentrate our focus on developing one of the "archived" expansions to get it to "completed".  Archived expansions are those where ideas have been proposed, but little or no work has been done to get it to "completed" (i.e. Public Downloads status.  I propose that as a team/group, we work through the issues and come to consensus about the final idea and then someone or someones (volunteers, hopefully) will create the tiles and the rules to get it ready for download.

Also, during each month, we will also vote on the next expansion that we would like to concentrate on the following month.  There's only 9 days left in April 2009, so this will be a truncated trial run of the vote for the expansion to be worked on in May 2009.  The options are:

Hog Roast - idea by Joff
Vineyards - idea by wellidesigns
The Constable - idea by kissybooboo
Meeple Upgrades - idea by kjamma4
Foreign Traders & Harbour Towns - idea by Lakoda
Lord of the Rings - idea by CKorfmann
The "King" and Citadel Meeple - idea by Joff
The Apprentice - idea by Jabberwocky
Roman Roads, Parthenon, The Commons  - idea by Jabberwocky
Spatial Manifold or The Wormhole (same thing, different names) - idea by Jabberwocky and CKorfmann respectively.
Icons - idea by Deatheux
Four Horsemen of the Acopolypse - idea by PinkPaiseley
Plague Quarantine, Central Market, Dry Lake - idea by Jabberwocky
Oxbow - idea by Jabberwocky
The Void - idea by Jabberwocky
Here Be Dragons - idea by Jabberwocky

Remember, only vote if you are going to contribute (i.e. post your ideas/suggestions) next month.  To those named above - if you would like your expansion to be removed from the list, please let me know.

I assume we vote by posting... correct?  I think I'd like to vote for the vineyards.  With the wheatfields being worked on, I think it would be good to have the vineyards done too.  I think the rules are pretty much set, aren't they?  I'm no good at tile art, but I'll be glad to do whatever I can to help.

I like Dry Lake, Plague Quarantine, and Central Market since I only have a few blank tiles in my possession to work with.

OK, I merged Dry Lake, Plague Quarantine, and Central Market together into one option.  Feel free to vote for that.  And yes, you vote by posting so that it's visible that you will be interested in helping to develop the expansion.

Just for the record, the following people are working on:
CKorfmann - The Missionary
Novelty - Mountains & Wheatfields (rules).  Will be developing Health & Holiness & Fountain of Youth after these.
Chr15lynn - Wheatfields (tiles)
ShadowP68 - Inn and Stable Owners
skipboris - The Ocean
Did I miss out anyone?

Edit: I merged Roman Roads, Parthenon and The Commons into a single option as well.

I think I might do some more work on monasteries (which seems to have been removed from the list?) but I don't think I need any help, unless people wish to comment. It might, however, be a day or so before I can get to work on it...

Ooops... (or oups).  Sorry about that, must have accidently deleted it while merging the above categories.  However, since you don't need any help, I guess I'll leave it off.  You can still vote for an expansion you'd like to work collaboratively on in May.  Count so far:

Vineyard: 1
Dry Lake, Plague Quarantine, and Central Market: 1

Edit: 4 more days before the vote closes.  You may help in any way - suggestions for improvements, proofreading the rules, helping hunt images for watermarks, etc.

Voting has been extended to the end of the week, i.e. 3rd May 2009.  Please continue to vote.  In the event of ties, I suppose, the availability of someone to lead the expansion will probably break the tie.

Also, you can vote for June in this thread.

So who is the winner with a tie?
I guess it depends on who wants to take the lead on either of the winners.  It won't be me.  Anyone volunteering?

I could break the tie, but then I'd have to lead it... so I'm not breaking the tie.  I volunteer to write up the rules for either though, so it means someone needs to get the tiles into shape, and that person who be whoever that is volunteering to lead this.
