Ok, here is the latest from China:

I called my supplier last night and considering a few points; a/ he's doing me a personal favor, b/ the economy being what it is - business is tough everywhere - and c/ seeing what other suppliers are charging, he has agreed to do the order at cost for me.  This brings the costs directly in line with those of the printer in Germany.

Revised pricing as follows:

1000 = $50usd or $60cdn
500 = $25usd or $30cdn
100 = $5usd or $6cdn

The quality/size/color of the tiles would be the same:  45mmx45mm, 0.08" (2mm) thick, and grey/grey.  I've shown pictures to my supplier and without question he can make these.  He is one of the top custom box makers in China....he knows what he's doing.  Suffice to say I wouldn't pay for poor quality either!   :Smiley

I can ship from either Blaine, WA for the USA or Vancouver, BC for Canada.  There would be no duties or taxes....just freight/postage - either USPS or UPS.

This is based on ordering 10,000 so I'd still need some more people interested.....any takers?   Grin

...I have to buy a minimum of 50,000pcs!...The cost to buy these pre-cut blank chipboard tiles is about $0.10usd each ($0.125cdn)

1000 = $50usd or $60cdn...

...This is based on ordering 10,000...

I'm happy that I could help you to get better prices from your supplier  Grin

Because of the very high shipping costs from germany and maybe tax - it will be better If you will go on with the blank tiles...

I hope there are enough interested people. If you need any help in - whatever - just ask me Wink

I think I could swing 500.  1000 is tempting, but if I actually use up the 500 anytime in the near future, I'll be surprised.  I've got about 200 printed tiles from extra sets that I am considering pasting over already.  I live in the states.  Do you have an idea of shipping costs?

Fortunately, one of the boxes my company has made for us (pic HERE) uses the same chipboard but with a paper laminated to it.
By putting an order in at the same time the minimum won't apply.  I can also put the finished tiles in the same shipping container as the boxes so I don't have to pay any freight  Grin

Thanks Bufferm44  Wink  -With the number of people in Europe I'm sure some people over there would prefer to buy from Germany to save on the shipping as well...

Once I work out the volume & weight for bundles of tiles (500/1000) I'll be able to provide a freight quote within Can & US.

I hope this is of interest to people.  I'm a hobbiest at heart so I can't wait to tuck into this project and make ALL the expansions!  Thumbs up

I think when I get a chance, I'll post this to the Facebook fan group too.  You might get some bites there.  Better yet, I could send a message to all the members.  BGG might be a good place to post about this as well, but I'm not a member there.

The new prices are really tempting. I live and work close to the border; would you be willing to deliver to my office in Abbotsford at no charge? It's east of Mt. Lehman Road on the south side of Highway 1.

I live in Vancouver but I don't ever drive out to Abbotsford.....maybe we could arrange to meet part way or something.... or I'll check the CanadaPost rate - which shouldn't be much.

Could I please get final counts and commitments from people if you are interested?  I'd like to total up how many are needed and get the order placed if there's enough interest....which I think there is at this point   Grin
