The "Amazing Race"

Here is a weekend of gaming I am planning with some friends. (Copied from my site)

My next weekend of gaming will be a race game weekend. This is much smaller than BixCON and all of the games will be race themed games with points for each race. Each player will compete in a variety of race themed game and the person with the most points at the end of all of the races will be crowned the winner. There will be a small wager / entry fee, (perhaps a six pack). Who knows. Depending on the interest, we may do team play so we can get concurrent five player games going. After we get enough interest, we will look at scheduling to pick a date(s) that works for most racers...

Race Games

Formula De
The ultimate in Formula Racing Games. This is the game that our racing league is built around. This has to be included in an AMAZING RACE series.

A very good Horse Racing game. I think this is a must include for the AMAZING RACE. GReat mecahnic involving card rounds and dice rounds.

This is a good one to include as well. This is the Tour de France. Energy management and timing of your rider with the Peloton is key in this game. This should be included. There is much I need to learn about the strategy of this game. Another play is in order.

Snow Tails
Come on, who doesn't like dog sled racing? This is a fun light racing game with a very clever movement mechanic. We need to include this in the AMAZING RACE.

Motorcycles and speed. This game has another interesting movement mechanic with the dice flipping. The modular board and eye candy nature of this indicates it should make an appearance.

You got crokinole in my racing game; you got racing in my crokinole game. This is the Reeces Peanut Butter cups of racing games. Dexterity games are always a hit and a hoot.
