Hello,

today I've received a request from 'Hans im Glück'. They kindly asked me to inform you about the fact, that due to the massiv amount of big orders of blank tiles in the last couple of weeks, they have to persist again on a maximum of 5 sheets per order as stated on their homepage. They would appreciate it, if you might keep this in mind, as the production of blank tiles is just a service and not part of their main business. Sorry for that, I hope you understand this and respect their request.

Greetings.

PS: perhaps this could be a 'sticky' for the next days/weeks

It would strike me, from a business standpoint, that having to enforce such a rule invariably supplies the reasoning to go into the business of producing said blank tiles.  But, such is life so we shall restrict our orders.  Shocked

And the blank tiles are the most useful tiles Smiley

I wonder besides koolkat, who else is getting a large quantity of tiles...

I got the message too. My girlfriend promptly followed with: "Why don't you just print the tiles as before and save up for another game." To which I replied with a resounding: "Humph!" The fact that I don't have many Euros lying around, however, may keep me away from more than perhaps 60 of these tiles, anyway. But to think, abandoning awesome custom Carc tiles for a different game...well I never. Although maybe I should get around to playing my new copy of Agricola...I hear it is quite addicting once played.

They are watching us? Shocked

It makes sense to limit the order quantities. They can only produce so many at a time, and they are only able to keep a certain level of stock on hand. If one person orders most of the stock, that's not fair to others who also want to order some. Five sheets per order means blank tiles for everyone instead of just a few people. They probably should limit you guys on how often you're allowed to order too...

So when you order these tiles, do they have backs on them or are they completely blank?  How much do 5 sheets cost?

They have backs on them, but HiG will only send them to European addresses.  5 sheets costs 5 euros.

Have the BLANK TILES shown up on eBay yet, where a true blooded American Capitalist can pay US Dollars to a European Seller and have them delivered anywhere in the world?
