Hello all. After getting hooked playing Carc on XBLA I've purchased every possible set (even the GQ11 tiles from eBay). We play every night - both on table and on XBLA. We love it. I made 2 purchases from BoardGameRevolution.com - an absolute fantastic site to deal with - great prices and shipping.

Now I see Carcassonne - Count, King, and Consort - I have the hires tiles downloaded, but where can you buy the expansion (English) ? I cannot find it anywhere. Is it available ?

A little OT here...
Since we are new to the tabletop version we are playing the game in order. We have played through the base, then River I, River II, King and Baron, etc. and keep working our way up to a mega game.

To keep track of the tiles we've done the following:

-created a portrait drawing in Photoshop w/a series of different colored columns
-using our Xryon machine we passed it through to create an adhesive side and a shiny side (w/one pass)
-using a paper punch (the type w/adjustable dies) we punched a series of dots out / one color per expansion
-we afix the dot to the "C" side of the tile

Now we know which tiles go w/which set. Makes it easy to say "let's play base + river II", etc.

The English equivalent is called Cult, War, and Creativity. It was originally scheduled for release in April 2008 but is now delayed until June or July. It contains the five cult/shrine tiles from CK&C, plus some unique tiles (war) and some blank tiles (creativity). Rio Grande Games wanted to make the cult/shrine tiles available without forcing us to buy the Count and King tiles a second time.

I take this means buying the Count and King small expansions isn't going to be money wasted, if one was to then purchase Cult, War and Creativity when it's released by RGG?

Jambo, you will be right.  Cult, War and Creativity will not include any previous tiles, with the exception of the cult/shrine tiles from Count, King and Consorts.  So there'll be no Count tiles or King tiles in Cult, War and Creativity.  You'll still "waste" money getting the Scout tiles (in Kings and Scout) if you do not have the correct Carc game to use them though, but that really shouldn't matter much - I printed out some of my custom tiles (check the downloads section of this site) and pasted them to the scout tiles Smiley
