Yes, exactly one year ago today we opened the doors to Carcassonne Central for the first time. Gantry set up the site in the middle of January, I came on board in early February, and we were ready to go by March 1.

And a good year it's been. Last month I made a post saying that January 2008 was our most successful month to date; February was also hugely successful, with almost as many topics, a close second in page views (behind January) and the most forum posts ever. It's a well worn cliché, but Carcassonne Central is going from strength to strength.

With that in mind, over the course of March we'll be introducing a number of significant updates to the site to make it easier and more enjoyable to use. First up is a completely revamped version of the FAQ section. I won't go into too much detail here; I'll let it speak for itself. But stay tuned for further updates over the coming weeks!

Finally, on behalf of Gantry and myself, I'd like to thank everyone for making Carcassonne Central such a great community. So here's to you:
Cheers

. . . . a completely revamped version of the FAQ section. I won't go into too much detail here; I'll let it speak for itself. . . .

Great job Matt! It resolves all the issues with the old version. Much easier to navigate, much clearer regarding the out of date stuff. I like the categorization of the questions in each section etc. etc.

What a fine birthday present for Carc Central  Smiley

I really mean it when I say I love our little community here, it's been a fun year and I think we've covered a lot of ground.  I haven't always had the time necessary to do all the things that I've wanted to do (work, grrrr), but as Matt says we will be making some changes in this anniversary month.  I'm especially proud of the participation of you, our community members. What could be more of an honour than a candle on OMS' daughter's birthday cake?  Cheesy
