(This one started over here).

Yes, folks, it is possible. And here is the proof:

The two boxes for The Count have the river tiles in them, while the box for The River II has the Count tiles in it. Better use of space. And the bag with the meeples fits snugly alongside the tower dispenser.

There are a couple of tiles which aren't included. Obviously, there's only one set of Count tiles, even though I've got there copies. And things like the duplicate King and Robber Baron have been left out, as well as the original lake and spring, that sort of thing. But it included every other tile from all the expansions to date, even the duplicates from King and Scout that are included in the 6th expansion.

One end does stand proud ever so slightly, but otherwise it's a good enough fit until I find the perfect box, whatever that might be…

Okay, I know about that one. Looks awesome. But…

But I currently have all of the pieces in the original box for one good reason: because there are no dividers, and I can arrange it however I want. The problem with that box is the same as for the CAR—HiG keep releasing new expansions, and every time they do there's a tonne of new stuff to fit in. Now, I don't know how much spare room—room for growth—the box has, but until I do, I'm not going to invest that much money in it. Beautiful, yes; but is it functional?

No idea. But since it has a reserved space for the Tower, I imagine you can fill that up as well, and that's quite a lot of space.

But it's about €45 so it's not gratis.

The CarcassonneBox has room for 70 additional tiles according to the web site. Should be enough to hold the two latest expansions with room to spare. I would love to get a CarcBox, but with shipping the price is over $100!

An alternative would be to make your own box out of wood and design it with room to spare.

Although portability is an issue, for me it is not big enough to try cram everything into the main box. The obsessive-compulsive side of me can hardly bear the thought.

@Scott: Grin

@meeplebot: Hey, long time no see!

@Novelty: The orange blobs a a couple of piece kidnapped (meeplenapped?) from Caylus, which I use to mark the largest city and the longest road on the scoreboard. Could use anything, but these work well.

We use a brown meeple for the Robber Baron and a purple meeple for the King. They look the part!  Grin

For those interested they came from http://www.meeplepeople.com/.

We also use huts from the board game Clans for Kevin Graham's Trading Posts variant (which we include most games, as it is very unobtrusive). I have also rewrote his variant with comprehensive instructions for those who are interested.

Lol, as long as you don't think i'm stealing your CAR look! (I was, actually Wink)

I kept the formatting very similar, as I thought I might attempt to collect the best variants together in a similar reference guide to CAR.

How can I produce a pdf file, without spending £'s? Is there a simple way? At the moment the document is in MS Word format.
