The regular list for this matter hasn't been updated since june 2010:
http://carcassonnecentral.com/forum/index.php?topic=534.0

I wonder if there's another list of completed expansions which haven't been made public in the download section but are waiting to be added.

Sekim i spent several days - if not weeks- to go through all the threads in the workshop section and find the final versions of fanspansions not mentioned in the homepage listing at the fan made expansions page

After that it's a matter of checking back and keeping up to date best you can  Wink
(There's quite a few great ideas still waiting to be completed by the way.)

One of the moderators invented a search word to be able to quickly track down the final versions as soon as an update in the list mentioned before could be made. But after some period of time even that was banned. As my search was made almost a year ago i can not recall who it was or what is the search word was. For you I suppose you need to also check all threads of interest, work you way from last post to first in each thread to find the final versions as they are posted last mostly.

I would say whenever an update can be made, the mods should send an e-mail to all listed members asking for a hyperlink to their final versions fan made expansions, if any. That would be the quickest way to be able to complete the list. Well, if all respond that is.

I remember something about a search word as well.
Dunno why but something with a dog comes to mind.  Huh?

Bluedogs was the keyword. I just found it. Looks like Novelty introduced it.

Novelty somehow lost his ability to upload files to the site, which is why he stopped maintaining the list. I've been waiting for Gantry to give me access so that I can restore Novelty's access, but Gantry seems to have done another one of his disappearing acts. I think we're at the point where I need to pick up the phone again and push things along that way.

I know I sound like a guy beating a dead horse, but the site could be easier to maintain going forward (Along with downloads) if some standardized add-ons were installed. These are typically 1click installs and add great functionality.

I've been seriously considering this actually. I haven't done anything yet because I wanted to talk to Gantry about it first, and I'm concerned about the confusion of having two different download areas. It occurs to me now that we could still have the download section on the web site, but link to the files on the forum instead of uploading them into /images/download/

I'm also thinking that it would be nice to have a way to separate completed expansions from in-progress expansions; possibly moving the completed expansions to a different forum. I think what I'll do is install that add-on and we'll see how it works.

I think to make the admin function easier, if the download add-on performs to your expectation, I would remove the download section from the webpage and just use the forum. I think the site will stay vibrant if it is easy to maintain. Admin burnout is a concern.

Just looking after your well-being Scott. Smiley

I appreciate it my friend.

I've installed the Downloads add-on and spent the past 2 hours loading in everything from the current downloads on the web site.

Wow. Great work Scott. That was quick. Looks Good!!!!

Added benefit of not needing a password too. I bet it is limited to member accounts only. Superb. That was merit worthy, but I would like to reward you more. What is your BGG account, I would like to donate some GeekGold to you for your efforts.
