I can't remember where I saw this one discussed, but I seem to recall Joff mentioning that he enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to my first time plaing tomorrow afternoon with some friends who are bringing it over. It will actually be my first worker placement experience. Some people say Carcassonne fits in that category, but from what I've seen, little as that may be, I'd call it more of an area control game.
Anyone wanna share their thoughts on it? I'll try to bring you a session report at some point.

Maybe it sounds familiar because there was some tiles for it that came with an issue of Spielbox?

This is one of the better "worker placement" game around. I think it has a lot of charm:
(1) Easy to teach / learn. (2) Replay value. (3) Engaging game play. (4) Decent amount of interaction. (Vying fr same spots / resources on the board).
I give this game a strong recommend.

I'm going to pretend I didn't see that, not because I disagree, but because you make me spend too much money already.

I guess you won't want to hear what I have to say either than. I enjoyed the game quite a bit. We were all rather confused at the beginning, but the was definitely a "hump" and once we got over it, it was all down hill and pretty easy understand what was happening. I'm looking forward to playing this some more and would love to have the New Huts Spielbox expansion that came with the Shrines now. I feel your pain Scott, my list keeps growing and my wallet keeps shrinking.

Hey. My collection is at 777 games, so I am not TOO sympathetic.

Indeed, I done an unboxing of the game on here. This is one of my favourite games, and a really good game to introduce new players to the worker placement mechanic. Everyone I have played it with has enjoyed it. I plan on getting the expansion as soon as it is finally released!

I believe the Huts expansion tiles will be included in the next box expansion

I watched a video review of this game; it seems similar to Agricola but better. Curious to know what others think.

I did get the huts from the Almanac. In fact, I got the huts first. I wanted the Carcassonne Cult tiles and they happened to come with the SA huts. The huts looked intriguing and so, after a bit of research, I ordered Stone Age. Never been disappointed. As mentioned, the huts that came in the Almanac are to be included in the expansion.
I like Agricola, but only the family game - I am not overly keen on the card interactions - but it is a more complex game than Stone Age. However, I personally prefer Stone Age. It is easier to teach, fairly intuitive and just has the right balance of theme and gameplay. I have played it with many 'newbies' to the hobby and everyone (without exception) has enjoyed Stone Age and a couple of those had said that they would like to purchase a copy for themselves. I wouldn't even attempt Agricola with a new player as an introduction to board games.
