When you place a tower tile that completes a feature of someone else's, Can you kidnap the follower first, or must you score the feature and then you can place a tower tile?

Placing a tower tile occures before scoring (since placing a tower tile is something you do instead of placing a follower), so in this case I'd rule that you can take your opponent's follower prisoner before he/she has a chance to score.

I've not read the rules though, so there might be some exception I don't remember.

I also haven't checked, but I think Tobias is right. I also recall that placing a tower piece is instead of a follower, and that scoring occurs at the end of your turn (most of the time), so you can prevent your opponent from scoring by taking his meeple prisoner (when the circumstances happen to work out this way).
