Stuck in Carcassonne online

 Does anyone know how to quit a game you have initiated with a friend?  Every time I open up Carcassonne online, it puts me into that game, and my online friend isn't playing anymore.

If you are playing on ios, you should be able to go to the options and pause the game.  I don't have it with my so can't be more specific, but pausing a game makes it so you can play more than one.
