We find ourselves very fortunate at this stage in our lives. Our girls are grown and out on their own, making their way. As a family of four, we have decided to redefine our Christmas traditions and rituals.
Kathy, Krystal, Teri and I have shared a wonderful meal together and in lieu of exchanging gifts we have added funds to our joint Kiva account to assist those in developing countries. My dear old ma has led the charge with some freshly baked cookies. We will supplement this throughout the year. It is humbling to remind ourselves of the needs of others and the abundance in our own lives.
We also want to acknowledge the richness of our relationships with friends and family, for that is the gift we cherish most deeply."
