Hi Guys! Recently I started playing Carcassone and I have a question .. Do you have an idea for a comfortable draw tiles from the bag? Do You give the bag between players, or is it in the middle of the table and everyone reaches for it?
I noticed that when the bag is on the table there is the possibility to see the plates, and i need to correct the position of the bag every time, when someone take a tile..

I've played it both ways (sort of). I've never played it in the middle of the table, but I have played with the bag set to one side (we'll set up a TV tray next to the game table that has the scoreboard & rules, and put the bag there). It gets handed to the player to draw a tile, and put back out of the way once done so.
Or, when I first started playing and didn't have as many tiles (which makes for shorter map areas), we could just pass the bag along and whoever had it kept it near them out of their way.

We pull the drawstring of the bag closed each time we draw and pass it around the table. This way there is no sneak peaks.

I find it helpful to pass the bag around the table. It makes it very clear whose turn it is, and provides a clear separation between each player's turn. Once you pass the bag, you're committed to whatever you did during your turn. Otherwise the people with commitment issues are always wanting to change what they did even though the next person is trying to take their turn.

That's a good idea, Scott. I'll have to remember that.

I like it too ;]
Can someone tell me what are the dimensions of the original bag.
I have a big box and, as you know, it doesn't include the bag... so i need to make it by myself

Normally I would refer you to the link in my signature, but it looks like I didn't measure the size of the bag yet, only the weight. I will be looking into this as soon as I can. However, I would recommend making it bigger. If you make the height of the bag (longest side) the same as the height of the box (shortest side) you should be in good shape.

My blue Carcassonne bag is 26cm from drawstring top to bottom (10.25 inches), and 20.5cm across the bottom (8 inches).
My travel Carcassone bag with the scoreboard is 29cm (11.5 inches) from drawstring top to bottom, and 18.5 cm across the bottom (7.25 inches).
So it appears the two are very similar in size.

I've been keeping it off to the side of the table. The bag I use is one of the medium size paper LCBO (Liquor Control Board of Ontario) bags with the top rolled down twice (like a lip). The bags hold themselves up and open, have a fairly narrow opening to deter peaking and are embarrassingly easy to come by in my apartment. All that being said, I've never played with more than 3 people, with >3 having the bag stationary might work less well.
PS Bag measures 25cmx20cmx15cm with top rolled down.
