Please be patient this is my first attempt at a fanspansion.  It came about because every time my 13 yr old visits me for holidays and vacations he leaves his size 14 socks every where and tends to leave them behind when his visit is over.  So at easter time I put together an Easter basket (in a box) to send him and included the Stinky Socks Expansion with it.  We both love Carcassonne and have made many of the fanspansions on here for our sets.

Please read over what I have and comment as needed..lol..we have play tested it many times and it seems to work great!

Story plot:

"All across the land of Carcassonne there are tales of the Giant roaming from farm to city and generally causing mischief wherever he goes.  Until recently the Giant had been harmless, but for reasons unknown he has began leaving his soiled and smelly socks across the countryside. The odor that eminates from the socks are effecting crops and cities alike."

Basic Rules: include six new Stinky Sock land tiles to be mixed in with coordinating expasions

1. Any feature including a set of Stinky Socks within it scores only half of the earned points rounded down. Meaning you add the score up per normal feature ruling and then divide that by 2 and round down if uneven.
-The Stinky Socks effect all features on the Fortune Teller tile (fortune teller, road, and fields on both sides of the road)

2. The Stinky Socks seem to have a more extreme effect on the Fortune Teller over any of the other subjects in Carcassonne.
-When the Stinky Sock tile with the Fortune Teller is drawn it must be played before any other tile.
-The player (player A) placing this tile must then place a follower as the Crazed Fortune Teller.
-During players following turns they (player A) still draw an additional tile for every Fortune Teller they own, with the exception of how a tile is chosen to play.
-With all of their (player A) tiles face up infront of them the next player (player B) in turn chooses which tile they play.
-Player A places it following normal rules.
-If a bonus turn is created by the placing of the tile, then the player (player C) after Player B chooses the second tile for Player A to play.

3. Once the Fortune Teller is complete on all 4 sides it scores its 1 point (half rounded down)

Please let me know what you all think.  I do not post many pics in forums so please let me know if i did get the attachment added.  Or please tell me how to post a pic right in my thread, I feel pretty slow I could not get it on here.  Thank you

Finally got a pic to upload.  Thank you CKorfrmann for the instructions.  When I write the official rules I will give all of the graphics credits to everyone.

So does anyone have any interest in me making a rules template for this expansion??  We play with it everytime, but we also use the Fortune Tellers (it's a household favorite).  We really like it, but it does have a more personal reason.  Just wondering if anyone had comments or just plain out hated it.

It seems you didn't get much response as of yet, I suppose stinky socks do not really effect the lifes of Carcassonners nor crops or cities  Wink . However i personally like the basic idea, it would be interesting to see if you can come up with a stinky socks substitute as a more realistic medieval kind of nuisance regarding smell. It might grow beyond your intentional funlike personal motivation which might make it a mature expansion to be taken more seriously. (if it's got to be stinky sock, then so be it  Smiley)  Eventhough i don't play wof -I understand it will add to the enjoyment of the game also without wof- so i for 1 am interested to see how exactly rules would be .
