Don't know if anyone else has seen more.... no one's replied here so I guess not!! Anyone has got more details of the new game I'd love to know. Especially any dates of a UK release. The only bit I've read is laying the tiles in an East to West direction...

Talking of new stuff, elswhere Crasher has mentioned the Travel Edition being close to release in the USA. Anyone know anything regards this in the UK or Europe. Hows it going to work? All I've heard is that it has a cloth bag that doubles for the scoreboard and Crasher talks about smaller Meeples. Anything else?

I don't know if anyone has any definite details, but I always think of travel games like the type we used to have in my childhood when they'd use a metal gameboard and magnetic pieces.

Ooh... shudder!!  Smiley  I was thinking that it may have smaller cards (goes hand in hand with possible smaller meeples), that fit into a grid like tray maybe. I'm guessing it's going to have some way of keeping things stable if you're on the move.

you'll have to magnetize it yourself. it's just smaller tilers and meeples. you can find some pictures on the geek.

I avoid The Geek as best I can :P

Yeah, I know - but it would still be neat to have a magnetic board.

Just took a look on BGG at photos. A couple of things immediately bounced into the brain... If the only difference is the pieces are a little smaller then why bother? The box of the standard edition isn't exactly massive to carry around. Secondly, surely having the bag as the scoreboard defeats the object of the game being a travel edition? The fact you are on the move would mean it would make more sense to pull the tiles from the bag each turn... but you have to tip them all out else you can't have a scoreboard - doh!! Me most confuzzled!!  Huh? Shocked
