I have read that technically the spring does not divide farms, but that Hans prefers to play as if it does, but what about the lake(s)? Also, presuming that it does divide, how does it divide? Is it a straight line to the top, or does it divide as if it stretched to the corners?

Moreover, even if it does divide, it only does so a little since it's not a road or city - almost any tile adjacent to it eliminates the divide since there will be field there. Only some of the new city tiles that span out to the corners without being to the edge would maintain the divide, and then only if you consider the lake/spring as going out to the corners.

I don't know why they'd say it divided anything.  It clearly does not.  That is why they made the alternate spring with road for the GQ11.  It makes it a lot easier to just go with the obvious.

How do you get GQ11? I've seen that mentioned, but don't know what set you buy to get that.

The GQ11 (Games Quarterly #11) is a 12 tile mini-expansion, the only one published in the U.S. in a gaming magazine, like the Spielbox expansions.  It is becoming increasingly more rare and if you can get one, you definitely should.  There are some really good tiles in it.  You can find one on ebay right now if you go HERE.

I can't believe I just spent $22 on 12 tiles. Smiley I couldn't find it on eBay when I tried to search for it. Thanks for the heads up on that.

I bought those tiles from ebay, but they are taking an insane amount of time to ship them. Just want to warn people. They charge a ridiculous amount for shipping and then, as far as I can tell, are making no real effort to come through. I've tried to contact the seller to find out if it shipped and how and if there is a tracking number, but they don't respond. I just sent them another message. We shall see, but right now I can't recommend going through them.

Sorry for all your trouble.  I'm equally sorry for not sharing this with you first.  I know you can get them at www.fairplaygames.com.  They have it in stock right now for $3.95.  Hard to beat it.  Wish I'd thought of that before ebay.
