Conquering the world...One tile at a time.

Heyyy everyone! It's been awhile. I thought I'd drop in and share some tiles that I made a few months back. Just figured I could finally get around to posting them. If anyone has played a mega-Carc game featuring the Wheel of Fortune (along with many other expansions), then the amount of tiles featuring the WoF seem to be a bit few and far between. So, I figured a few more might be necessary. As you'll see, I added some WoF tiles that are specific to certain expansions. I actually figured that some of those expansions could also use some extra tiles when playing a very large game. I'm not sure if these will be useful to anyone, but I just thought I'd share!   Smiley

Great idea, if only I got to play megacarc more often.  The CCCC tile is interesting.  I know I've seen it, but can't remember where it is from.  It would be interesting to use in a game, but for my 2 cents, aesthetically, I think it could use a few houses on it or something.

The CCCC tile is from the Vanilla set...so...credit goes to those responsible for that one! Anywho, in regards to it's aesthetics...by itself, it does look a bit bare. However, once you've added it into a game...it looks just fine...in my opinion of course.

I'll bet this would be good to do with T&B trade goods too.

I like this alot.  I've been debating about using the non wheel tiles from WoF for other fan mades or not for a long time.  This might tip me over the scales as this just seems such a fitting use for them.

I'll bet this would be good to do with T&B trade goods too.

And I entirely second this motion as well.  A few more of each trade good and some corresponding tokens for them would be great.  (Though using additional fan made expansions with additional trade goods can work for this as well i suppose.)

I took a look at the original wheel tiles the other day and has anyone ever noticed that of the 19 tiles with wheel symbols, there are only 2 with city sections on them?  I wonder if that is by design.

That is an interesting observation.  I don't see it making a huge difference.  The wheel graphic shows up better against the field then the city background so it may have been purely a visual choice.  Its shows up and is easier to spot but there are plenty of tiles with city portions that have enough field for a wheel.

These extra tiles will be great for Mega Carc.  I am a big fan of the expansions/additional tiles that build off of and/or integrate the official expansions.  I have no extra tiles right now to use to make these unless I use the duplicate base tiles from WoF.  But then can I say I'm really playing mega carc if i don't have the complete WoF set of tiles any longer?  I don't know.  If they are sacrifed to making the Wheel more meaningful though that should be taken into consideration.  A worthy sacrifice I think.  Maybe I'll wait and see what tile set (original basic game or wof) the new 10th anniversary set comes with.  I'm only planning on getting it for the 10 celebration tiles but i'm interested to see which assortment they use for it.

I would guess that this is done on purpose. Regular players might tend to use their meeples more for cities rather than putting them on a wheel spot. Getting rid of too many city segments on the wheel tiles might take the wheel more into play.

This was the first set of fan tiles I printed.  I'm looking forward to trying them Friday.  We've yet to even play WoF so I guess we are looking forward to two things...lol...

So thanks!
