Recassonne is a new Carcassonne variant, which changes some basic principles of the game and tends to develop extremely large structures. It includes the element of building mountains (stacks of tiles) and demolishing them by earthquakes.

After playing Recassonne a few times, you will discover the dynamics of the game, which is quite different than that in the original Carcassonne game. To play is successfully, you will have to develop a new strategy.

Try it out and let me know what you think.

Sounds like an interesting variant, unfortunately the links go to a site that you have to sign up for so I couldn't read the rules. Why not just post them here?

Thanks!  It looks like fun!  And just to make sure that I understand it, by the end of the game, there shouldn't be any tiles stacked on top of eachother and the earthquake tiles never actually get placed on the board, correct?

The game ends when there are just two tiles left in the face-down stack (these two should be earthquake tiles). You are right about the earthquake tiles. They never get placed on the table. They are shuffled back into face-down stack after each earthquake.

That sounds like an idea for the earthquake disaster!  Wink
