Wanted to let everyone know that I bought an xbox 360 arcade version at Walmart yesterday for $199.00 and it came with a $100 gift card.  The sale is supposed to last until midnight on Friday.  If you do any regular shopping at Walmart, this is a steal!

Is it just 360 or any console?  I'm more interested in PS3.

Unfortunately, the $100 gift card is only for the arcade version, which doesn't make any sense, but I have a plan.  I bought one and am selling on ebay for $150.  If it sells quickly, I'll buy a second and maybe a third and do the same.  Then, I'll by the elite (120 gb hard drive).

I was torn between the 360 and the PS3, but I don't see myself buying or renting any Blue-rays simply because they are much more expensive.  That's the only advantage I can see.  There aren't many exclusive games for the PS3 that I'm interested in and my family are Halo fans.  Plus, you can play Carcassonne on Xbox Live, so it's a no-brainer!  Grin

Our house has two xBox 360's. They are an excellent way to serve media from your PC to the TV. We have tons of pictures and MP3s and our playlists are usable anywhere in the house. Smiley

Plus the boardgame ports that are making their way to xBox is a big plus.
Carcasonne, Ticket To Ride, Settlers of Catan, etc...

So I thought I'd update this a bit.  I did end up getting 3 total and sold them all at a reasonable profit.  It will make the purchase of the elite that much less painful!  :-]

What games does everyone enjoy playing?  I've already bought Fable 1 & 2 and will likely get a Madden football game of some sort.  I'm also interested in Batman: Arkham Asylum and Dragon Age: Origins.  I enjoy playing Halo and it's sequels and my family enjoys the various Rock Bands.

Just curious what you're playing and what's good.

I don't get on the X-box much as my son tends to be constantly playing on it. He plays Call of Duty and Guitar Hero mainly.

Personally, I am awaiting the release of Thief 4 next year... then i'll get my own back Wink

My son and I play Call of Duty on the xbox.

I play the 2nd World War version; he plays Call of Duty Modern Warfare.......must be a generation thing!!

I have also setup Sky player on his xbox, so he can watch all the Sky packages I have subscribed to on his xbox.

He also communicates with all his mates on it, so saves me a fortune on phone bills.

Sky is a UK thing Bixby. It is a satelite broadcasting company, biggest in the UK and you can have their progremming pumped through your 360, providing you pay for the subscriptions. They dont do it for cable yet, which is a shame.

Yeah I prefer the WWII games better myself Vulch and Im older too  Grin

Are you asking me?  I don't have one yet.  Haven't pulled the trigger on the Xbox yet.  I'm hoping it goes on sale before Christmas.  Will have it soon though.
