"New World Carc"?

I just scanned the Rio Grande page per my weekly routine on checking for news and saw the they are planning a new Carcassonne.  It seems the theme of this one related to "New World Carcassonne (no actual title, yet)", (per the blurb on the homepage).
Anyone have more details?

ps. this is my first post on a board, even after being a member of several for awhile, so sorry if I missed this thread!

Yeah I read that too. New World  Wonder if that refers to Aztecs etc or maybe a bit later in history with the pilgims settling America. Build stockades instead of cities, The Cathars would be a Natives Attack, hmmm will wait and see what they come up with.

Thanks for spotting this, and good job on your first post, that's a good tip.  I made a news announcement on the front page.  Interestingly enough, it made me realize that for whatever reason my email subscription to Jay's newsletter at RGG hasn't been working since February, so I re-subscribed.  Hopefully it'll work now.

This is a new stand-alone game - based in the US, instead of France


So seems like early North America is right then. Wonder exactly what period it will be ? Pilgrims, Wild West, ACW, AWI ? Providing its not just a complete port of the current game with new scenery then I reckon this could be good.

Maybe they should do one based around the US/Canada war period hey Gantry, 50 points for burning down the Whitehouse !!!
