Both myself and one of my friends have been playing the online version at the site I mentioned above and we have both found lots of changes to what we thought were the normal rules. For example if you build a road and place a cloister on a road it does not stop the road for scoring. Also when the builder is in play and you complete the building on your first tile you still get a second Huh?

Anyone else seen this ??

The thing with the cloisters is odd, since the rule specifically state (in every version I can find) that a cloister ends a road.

But what you say about the builder is correct: if you build onto a feature containing the builder, you may take a second tile, regardless of whether the feature is completed or not.

I just don't understand that site - I've tried a qouple of times, but to no avail. At one time I get plunged into a game that's already going on for example, and I just thought I entered a chatroom.

I can read german somewhat if I know what the text is about, but my knowledge in the lanugae is severely limited. On the other hand, playing Carc online (I've tried it somewhere else where it wasn't even called C) doesn't really call to me.

I had a similar experience to Tobias -- couldn't figure out the UI of the site. And the one time I played, I ended up screwing up the game for all the other players, which was enough to scare me off from trying it again. Are there any English-language sites for online Carc?

Other problem we encountered with this site is that they use original rules not the RGG revised ones. Can be a bit confusing. Huh?

I vote that we push Gantry to put up a true Carc online site. It's not like he has anything else to do :P

It took me awhile to figure out the UI, particularly where to start your own game, but I am now having no problem getting a game going...joining games is still a bit problematic since the games are usually in progress and you are simply replacing a bot...I prefer to start my own...what were you having trouble with specifically?

Is there anything that has the original tiles, 3rd edition rules and perhaps a few more expansions than asobrain?

i play a while on BSW but since my cpu crash, i did not reload the thing, the difference between the ruling was a bit harsh sometimes(the princess with the meeple, and some hig vs rgg different ruling...) but was great to play.

Tried that site today and both times when I played an actual person they were real smarta@@'s. I was trying to start a friendly conversation both times and they were really rude and then they played very dirty, killing every play I had and locking every meeple into bad situations to the point it wasnt even fun and was pointless to continue playing.

I asked one of the guys I was playing on why they were playing so harsh and he replied it was typical on that site and I need to leave if I dont like it... I dont remember ever playing someone like that on BrettspielWelt.
