The convention registration is open:

http://www.boardgamegeek.com/bggcon

I went last year for the first time and had a great time. It is a great group of people that run a great event. Thought I would share this here in case others might be interested.

Cheers,
Bixby

EDIT: List of Attendees (To assist with meetups at the event)

This may be a short list. Cheesy

I went to the airport (on the way home) last year with a couple from England. They come every year. Never too far. Smiley

Right at the Westin. Information is on the BGG website. That is where the conference is located. They have rates negotiated for conference attendees.

I will update / edit my first post with a list of people attending if it turns out others are going to this. It would be good to meet and play a game of something while at the CON. Perhaps Carcassonne. Smiley

Someday I'll go to this, but for now will have to rely on our trusty CC-reporters in the field

In late August, my wife and I will be around Kelowna, (Cycling the Kettle Valley Railway). Perhaps a gameof Carcassonne and a winery tour would be in order. How far are you from Kelowna?

I cycled the KVR years ago, before the forest fire burned down the bridges, are they all rebuilt now?  Fantastic trip.  I am about 3 hours away.

Trestles are all rebuilt. They had a grand re-opening last June.

Two trips in all:

We are going to fly to Kelowna and rent a car over the Easter weekend to do a recon of the area to help plan the real trip.

The actually cycling trip will be the last week of August, 3 days of cycling and a few days after to relax with a winery tour or two. Cheesy

Interesting.  I live 15 minutes from there and never even heard of that event.  I just might have to attend.

My wife and I have some good friends that moved to Dallas this past summer.  She might be interested in visiting them, but I'm not sure.
