Any online RGG Big Box Rules complete in .pdf or html?

Does anyone know if there is a complete set of the Big Box Rio Grande Games rules online in a .pdf, or html or text?

My game club wants to have an electronic set as the starting point for our house rules.
I probably should have pushed harder to get my gang to use the HiG rules, since Matt has done such a fine job getting those all in place for us, with annotations and the overview etc.  But we are in the US, and all of our players have RGG rules so far, but none of us have the Big Box either.

Likewise, if you guys are pretty sure that they are not online, that is fine too.
Or if someone is working on them, then we can wait.  That'd be great.
My searching thus far has come up empty.

Thanks for any help or suggestions.

The RGG rules are not available 'legally', since RGG doesn't like to release them. I did do a translation of the HiG rules into English - the pdf is still available over on BGG, but I incorporated the text into the Annotated Rule document you can find in the Downloads area. Basically, the Annotated Rules uses the HiG Big Box text for all of the expansions which are in the set, and the original HiG texts for all the other expansions. And I've tried to point out what the new rules are, and where the rules differ between the HiG and RGG editions.

When I finish posting the rules in the FAQ section, those too will be based on the BB text.

If you really really really really need the original RGG rules as a pdf, maybe we can sort something out...

If you go to your member page, you'll find a password for the downloads area. You'll find translations for all the rules there.

(That is, all of the German rules translated into English - but I've noted where they differ from the 'original' English version anyway).

Hope that help!

Just click on your name beside each post… then scroll down the page that you link to. Or you could click on 'Members' at the top of the page, and then select yourself from the list.

Let me know if it works out.

Right at the bottom, between the games you own and your personal details.

I do believe that is a fortunate "feature" that motivates new members to actually fill out their profile information.   Wink

I'm creating a nice little graphic tutorial and will pin it in the gen forum --->  tada!

has anyone created a publisher file in 8.5 X 5.5 that can print the rules as a booklet?  The PDF is great but 70 pages of  8.5X11 is a bit big

If something like that existed, I expect I would have seen it in my travels.

If you print double-sided, that would cut the number of pages in half.

I just discovered something that might be of help, although I haven't tested it, if someone does please post your results.

In Adobe reader, there is a booklet printing function in the Print menu.  In Adobe Reader, go to File, Print, look in the Page Handling box.  In Page Scaling, choose "Booklet Printing".  That should create pages that are scaled down by half, rotated 90 degrees, on one page.  Thus you should have your 8.5" x 5.5" booklet size without having to make any changes to the original.

I'm actually kicking around the idea of reformatting the CAR, with each page being A5 size (that is, you'd get two pages onto a single sheet of A4)… I'll see how it goes, and maybe put up a draft if it seems to be working out.
