One of the new HiG games for 2009

Here's a preview of the tiles:

Is it me, or does it look like a Carcassonne spin-off with oceans and islands and boats...

Indeed, though there doesn't seem to be much in the way of landscape features. Score 1 point for each seashell?

New World was a Carc spin off and to be honest with you as long as you treat it as a non-carc game then it is fine, treat this one the same.

From BGG:

"The players explore the islands of Polynesia. Winner is the player who scores the most points from putting tiles on his display. Palms, huts, shells and boats on the tiles influence the scoring."

Not a lot of help. 'Putting tiles on his display'? Either very bad English or You each lay a separate group of tiles, maybe?

Judging by the photos, I think each player lays his own group of tiles.

The display could be the "mini board" that is shown on the images.

I think it might be available in Germany.  I don't think the English version is ready.

First time seeing this.  It looks like somebody ripped off skipboris...  IMHO.

Kinda ticks me off if they keep telling us NO and then use our ideas without acknowledgement.  I could be totally wrong though and I hope I am.
