So I originally bought the Big Box of Carcassone and have added all the expansions to it.  Do the the unfortunate nature of the rules I even had to insert the Completely annotated rulebook to it as well.  Anyways what's funny about the Big Box is that it doesn't have slots available for the River Tiles.  As I added Cathars, GQ11, Abbey and Mayor and the Catapult I integrated all of the tiles into the Big Box for easy transport.  The tower works well for holding these tiles.  Since these tiles do not comes with their own little boxes (like count, river 2, and so forth) I decided to make my own to make storage easier.  The tiles slide around too much if I put them in the tower as is.  I've attached the boxes to print (cardstock works well, but don't use regular paper to make these).  Included are 4 tile box (for The Cathars) 12 tile for GQ11, The River, and the Catapult Tiles and an 18 tile box for Abbey and Mayor.  If you sort out the abbey tiles with the individual colored meeples then you should only need a 12-tile for Abbey.  Files are in Office 2007 word format.  Cut and fold the little square.  They help hold the box together with either elmer's glue or double sided tape.  If you want to put pictures on it that option is certainly available as well.

Bigger as in able to hold more tiles or is there a problem printing out the sheets.  I had to convert a word document to PDF in order to post.  I'm wondering if that might be the problem.

Holding more tiles. The fan-made forest expansion has 150 tiles. You know what I mean...

I don't think the format of this box is suitable for 150 tiles.  It would have to be completely redesigned in order to work this out.

You might consider using multiple boxes.  The 18 tile box will probably hold 20.

7 of those each holding 20 and a 12 tile box holding 10 might hold all of your 150 tiles.

You are certainly welcome to redesign the boxes if you wish.

I've planned on making wooden tile-boxes, but unfortunately I'm not at all a craftsman, so my first try looked a little crooked. But I think the concept isn't the worst. The measurements of a single box is exactly the size of the score-board (18cm x 26cm) with a height of 5cm, while all "walls" and "dividers" have a thickness of 0.5cm (the top and bottom pieces, as well as the "buffers" on the front - to allow for the lid to close - have a thickness of 0.2cm).

Here's the concept:

And here are my plans on filling three boxes (including 2 base-games and 2 "Inns & Cathedrals):

Edit: Looks like I've messed up with the text for "An Apple a Day", which of course has only 6 tiles instead of 12.

That really is a brilliant concept...

Now, if only I were a good craftsman Wink

Where can I find these fan made expansions that you've included in your box and how can I find blank tiles to print them on.  I know two come in cult siege and creativity, but I don't want to buy multiple copies of that to achieve my own sets.

Well, all the fan-made expansions can be downloaded right from this site (either check the download-section on the main page or the threads in the "Variant Workshop"-forum). Blank tiles can be ordered from http://www.hans-im-glueck.de/, although I don't know if they take orders from outside of Germany.

Wow, it gives me a nice feeling to see the layout for the expansions in that box Smiley

BTW, all Carcassonne Central Expansions that have been finished can be found at:

http://www.carcassonnecentral.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=49&Itemid=62

That page contains all the expansions and the links to download them which means you don't have to hunt down every single tread in the Variants Workshop for the downloads.

Thanks.  I wish I had found these before.  It would have saved a lot of work.
