With two new mini expansions, a rerelease of City, an expansion for City, and a new dice game, all releasing in the first two quarters of 2011, one really has to wonder if another big expansion is planned for later this year. Most years have seen a big expansion (2002 to 2010 has seen nine of them, including Wheel of Fortune) so this year would be unusual if HiG did not release one.

The lady at the local gameshop (Aachen, Germany) told me the 10th anniversary games will probably be there for sale in June.

According to the RGG website, the 10th anniversary edition will be available in May. There is no information as of yet about the phantom expansion, but I suspect it will follow a month or two later (as it did for Germany). Do we have any word about an English publication of Der Kornkriese or Der Tunnel yet?

I'd be surprised if they released Der Tunnel since that's a Spielbox release. Mind you, RGG did release The Cult...

BGG has updated photos of the box and it's contents including tile scans. It looks as though all of the meeples in this set are the transparent plastic variety. No new tile configurations and I don't really like the symbol, but it is festive. The meeple shaped score board is pretty cool though. http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/89952/carcassonne-jubilaumseditionI wrote Jay to inquire as to when we might see this in the states. Got this response from Jay rather quickly: I expect them sometime next month, but have had no ship date yet. |

Stopped by my FLGS today and the owner said he's expecting to have the Anniversary edition in two weeks. He wasn't sure about the other stuff.

I have had my 10th anniversary set preordered for a while know with thought hammer.
The only question now is where am I going to get clear megameeples builders mayors etc!...

I bought a copy of Stone Age recently and it was missing a few pieces. I have been in contact with Jay at RGG and he's sending me the new pieces. I also asked him about any news of The Tunnel, Crop Circles, or The Plague while I was at it. Hopefully he'll give a reply.
