A few months ago a buddy of mine brought his Carcassonne set to our monthly Game Day in a neat little storage box.  The storage box fit the entire Big Box set plus had space for all the accessories, rules, and additional space for more expansions. It was genius.  He got the box as a pass-along from someone and didn't really know the specifics (brand name, model, etc - nothing on the box itself).  I looked online and tried to find the same storage box, but there are so many out there it was a challenge to find the right one; I didn't want to order it online and then find out the size was all wrong, etc.  So I took a spare Carcassonne piece and hit Michael's and Joann's here in Las Vegas to find the box.  For those of you who are interested here is what I consider the perfect storage box (found at JoAnn's Fabrics):

http://art.artbin.com/small_supply_storage.asp#5004ab

It is the "Solutions™ Box"/4-48 Compartments (Model#: 5004AB).  It holds the entire Big Box set with room for accessories in a nice neat compact case, perfect for bringing your entire Carcassonne collection on the road to a buddy's house.

I am so pleased with my purchase I can't even tell you.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

I'm gonna have to stick with my Big Box (1) for now. No room for the tower, catapult and ruler, or really the Wheel of Fortune. I notice you also don't have the tower pieces in your box, so I assume you don't have that expansion. I think my tile load would push this one case to the max since I have all the official expansions (and all promo expansions) currently released except Crop Circles. That means I have two sets of meeples, which I also am not sure would fit in this box. Still, nice find. I was looking for something like this a few years ago and never found it. I still use one of these for Agricola, although a few more expansions will make that box useless.

Ahhhh yes.  I should have considered the audience of this post before submitting.  My set is indeed just the humble RGG Big Box (2) sans the Tower expansion.  Wink

After seeing this article, I went to Michael's yesterday and picked up a plastic storage case very similar to this. I was able to fit everything in it ~350 tiles, catapult/ruler, 2 sets of pieces, bridges, etc. with very little room to spare. The only expansion I don't have is Die Kornkreise, but it shouldn't be a problem to add 6 more tiles once I get it. I am thrilled to not have to cram everything into one little box and dig through everything every time I want to play.

Thanks for the idea!! I will provide photos in the next day or two.

In addition to the photos, we'd appreciate a brand name, model number, link to product page on a web site, or whatever you can provide to help us find the same one.

My dad made for me and for my little niece the perfect carcassonne box. It's kind a suitcase with 2 trays in it, which can be taken out. Lots of space for all the accessories and tiles. And even lots of space for more (unofficial) expansions to come. Sorry, don't have pictures yet. But might make some en put them here.

It turns out to be from the same company as the original poster, SobusTooms. Mine just happens to be a slightly larger box. I really like the versatility of the "removable dividers".

You can find it at: http://www.artbin.com/
The specifics are as follows:
Super Satchel™ Slim
Tarnish Inhibitor Box
6865AT
• 8 fixed compartments
• 20 removable dividers
Dimensions
15 x 14 x 2 inches
(38.10 x 35.56 x 5.08 centimeters)

Once again, this is every official expansion to date, except Die Kornkreise, including 5 'extra' shrine tiles and the 4 original Cathar tiles.
*edit: I'm having trouble uploading photos. It looks like they have to be smaller than 500kB.

I took the idea from this thread and was able to get all my sets in here. I still have to get River 2 and CS&C, so I might have to make room. I'm not getting Catapult since it seems too gimmicky to me, and I don't see the point in buying WoF.

I'm with you.  I've got everything except the original Cathers and Crop Circles.  I bought Tunnels from Germany.  I'll probably get it again when RGG puts it out with Crop Circles.

Anyway, I've made about 2 dozen tiles and I'm not convinced that I'll be able to fit everything in there.  Especially when I finally make the rest that I have printed out.  I've got a lot of extra meeples too.  Which are the 8 fixed bins?  I can't tell from the photos.  The three on the bottom are obvious, but I'm not sure which the other 5 are?

The other 5 are referring to the long, horizontal troughs that the dividers go in.

Also, 1 single 'block' between dividers holds 16-17 tiles very snugly. The 18-tile expansions don't quite fit, so I had to place them in a '2-block' section. The reason you see Tower pieces spilling over into the section with those tiles is to keep them from floating around too much. The same applies to the large meeples for I&C.
