This sounds sketchy. The link doesn't go to the page with the apparent preview of the game and BGG still doesn't have a page for it. October 1st is a bit soon, too, since Essen is at the end of the month.

We've got another verification that this expansion is coming out: Fun Again Games lists it as an impending Spielfest release, although no English-language version nor any images nor any description seems to have been officially released. We may have to wait until late October to hear more about this one.

Nice find. They still have Tunnels pending. I notice, however, that Cartecassonne (the German version), as well as the US version, are not being released by Hans im Glück and Rio Grande Games. I find that very odd. Filosofia Editions and Schmidt Spiele are releasing them.

Here, I've tried a translation of the advertisement on the page: "Do I place another 3 [?] in the city? Then I can just get some easy points. But Hans probably knows exactly how many are in the city and will grab them from me. Or should I tie. Oh, this is a quandary."
In Cardcasssonne, players lay their cards out in rows. Wach new card presents a more lucrative series.
Eventually, each player must be secure with his followers in one of these rows. But that is the problem. This brings a lot of tension in this fast, fun card game.
Carcassonne - Now available as a card game.
Carcassonne - Card Game is an exciting new game that fits into the world of Carcassonne. Number of Players: 2-5 Age: [From] 8 years Duration: 45 minutes Author: Klaus-Jurgen Wrede, Karl-Heinz Schmiel Graphics: Claus Stephan
There is no fixed price for board games, such as for books. Therefore, we can not specify a price. Basically, the description isn't very clear, and it doesn't even seem so in German from what I understand. I guess in Germany games (and books) don't have list prices, but they do here! Anyway, I think it would be awesome if this could be turned into a Carcassonne base game expansion, using various tactics. It would probably take a while to develop and properly implement (with perhaps some rules changes) but I think it could be possible. The pieces are in the same style as the base game, unlike the other stand-alone games (except Wheel of Fate). Can anyone get Matt's attention? He reads German (since he is German) and can probably provide better translations of things.

That's news to me I guess HiG probably doesn't think they need to provide a better description since the rules are there? What I do like is the 100-point score board. That can be reused in normal carc. Two of those would give a good 200-points board.

Matt's German? That's news to me His profile says: Location: Magdeburg, Germany and I believe he told me once he was German, but perhaps he just lives in Germany and was born elsewhere. What I do like is the 100-point score board. That can be reused in normal carc. Two of those would give a good 200-points board.
They also have 5x 100/200 point counters for players, which could be really nice for huge games where hundreds of points are being made. 100-point board + 100/200 counters + 50/100 counters (assuming each player receives one of each) = 349 points a person can obtain before requiring some other scoring device. That is a pretty high number. I just skimmed through the rules and, unfortunately though predictably, there are no rules for combining the game with the regular game. Sad times.

I'll let Matt answer for himself I just skimmed through the rules and, unfortunately though predictably, there are no rules for combining the game with the regular game. Sad times. I'm surprised that you were even expecting that. HiG seems more content on making standalones these days, perhaps after all the negative feedback from Catapult! Expansions seems to be "farmed out" to Spielbox and to a lesser degree, RGG. What I want to know: are those treasure chest printed on hard cardboard like the tiles or are they in card form?

I'll let Matt answer for himself I'm not German, I just live and work there. I'm actually English. And sorry I haven't been about much lately. I'll try and have a look at the text later.

It looks... interesting- it seems to waste a bit of space though. I don't think I'll get this one.

Just like Carcassonne Travel Edition and Catan Card Game: portable games that take up too much space to use on airplane tray tables. I'm not German, I just live and work there. I'm actually English.
But you do read German fairly fluently, right? I figure you do since you work there and translated all the Carcassonne rules from the original German. I guess your native Englishness shows by the fact that you rarely have the grammatical errors a non-English writer would have. I should have also guessed by the last name "Harper": not a very German surname. It looks... interesting- it seems to waste a bit of space though. I don't think I'll get this one.
I'll definitely wait for a translation of the rules and a review or two. I've got enough games already and am asking for Stone Age, Dominion, and El Grande for Christmas (because I have promo expansions for all three from BGG and Spielbox).
