Civilisation

A friend of mine has just picked up a copy of civilisation and we are planning on getting between 5 and 7 of us together to play.  Will be the first tiem for all of us.  Have picked up a copy of the rules from BBG for us all to go through before the day; I was wondering however if anyone has come across a flash demo or anything or is it just too hard for that?

A few friends, (6 of us), used to play this every New Year's Day. It is a long game and we rarely finished. Our friends owned the game and explained the rules. It is involved enough that you want to read through the rules a few times.
