With Phantom and Inns and Cathedrals you can add more followers to the play.  Not to mention buying more followers from MeepleSourse.com.
What are people's opinions on when to add in the extra followers?

...not to mention A&M adds 3.  This can change things quite a bit.  I rarely add them all unless I'm playing megacarc.  In that case I may even add a few more like the Missionary and Shepherds fan expansions.
