Has anybody tried staining a set of unpainted meeples? It just occurred to me that they might look nice.

I have never tried it, but I think you're right.  They would probably look very nice.  Likewise, has anyone ever tried to soake their meeples in paint thinner or something to completely remove the paint?

Hmm sounds good, I might try it sometime with one of the unpainted meeple sets I bought at MeeplePeople Smiley. Chris, I've been wondering how to remove the paint, I just used sanding paper (fine grit) to do it, but it's a lot of work. I have painted some brown meeples, but the paint is rather opaque:

Tangent warning!: It seems to me that the blue sets that come with the European games are a different blue than with the American sets.  Can anyone confirm that?

Yeah... I asked MeepleSource about that and got this response:

We have a good amount of new meeples and re-stocks of currently out-of-stock meeples currently being produced.  It shouldn't more than a few more weeks before we have them, so stay posted!

I had asked about getting a gray megameeple, so I assume that's one of the new meeples. Here's hoping for A&M meeples!

I sure hope so.  It seems like I've been waiting forever.

The orange ones look great, and they threw in a few extra regular meeples!
