What can the dragon eat?

I found some contradictions on the CarcassonneCentral website regarding what the dragon can eat:
-in some place it says “anything”, and for example it says that he could eat “pigs” and “builders”, which are considered “special figures” (so I guess he could also eat “barns”, which you consider part of the “special figures” too!)
-in the abbay and mayor sections it says that “all followers can be eaten or captured, while the special figures cannot”…

So can the dragon eat special figures (pigs/builders/barns) or not?

pigs/builders yes, barns no because they are on 4 tiles at once...
