I hope everyone had a great Christmas.

We got Carcassonne the City (which comes in a nice wooden box), Carcassonne New World and The Ark of the Covenant arrived in the mail the day before.
We've only played the Ark so far, been to busy.

Enjoy the rest of the holidays and happy playing and have a Happy New Year.

Next week we shall play with all the stuff that I gave to the rest of my family as a Christmas Present.
It was The Catapult,
Cult, Siege & Creativity,
New meeples for expansions made by others, sheriff, tax collector, trading post & bishop
New meeples for expansions made by myself, children, Valois family members & The Pope
Other neutral figures, Jester, Minstrel, Leper (painted by myself)
and a full brown meeple set (for my girlfriend)

So it will be a game of Mega Carc with a lot of fan-made expansions thrown in,
it will be interesting...

Yes. Fan-made expansions are really great. You got to try, really!

Lots of neutral figures in your game, wicke Smiley  I'm surprise you don't have Black Tower, Dual Dragon or Treasure Hunt!

It's a lot funnier when we play with simpler rules and extra stuff.

I don't play Black Tower because I don't have an extra Tower expansion to make black tower pieces,
I don't play Dual Dragon because I don't have an extra dragon,
I don't play Treasure Hunt because I think there is too many extra tiles and stuff for that expansion (I haven't got my 240 blank tiles from HiG yet either).

When I playtested 'Black Tower', I used black and white meeples as the Tower pieces. Although they are not as good as proper Tower pieces, they do work (by the way, a tip for painting meeples; if you smell a bag of wooden game pieces you will smell a familiar smell; solvent! So, a tip for painting meeples is nail varnish Wink It works really well).

In the abscence of a Dragon, use the count piece on its side. This was a great suggestion by Novelty.

I think he just doesn't have the 240 blank tiles from HiG.  And he has used up his 2 blank tiles from CS&C for Pope of Avignon.

Exactly Novelty,
but I also have the problem I was talking about earlier,
when I print out the extra tiles sheets, the images are too small, the black lines bordering the tiles becomes visible on the actual tile,
so I have to enlarge the images for them to fit better on a tile.
It becomes too much work if there are many tiles in an expansion.

And about Treasure Hunt, what do you use for making the tokens?
Any cardboard or what?
I hope to get the 240 blank tiles next week, so I might start with Treasure Hunt or Wizard of Oz.
What is your favorite three fan-made expansions?

If you are printing any fan made expansion at least by myself and Novelty (and most others on CC), then there should be no problem when printing from the pdf file of the tiles that accompany the expansion. Just set it to print at 100% or with 'None' in the fit to printer margins, and the tiles will print out as they are supposed to.

Which expansions are you printing out?  As Joff said, if it's anything by myself and Joff, it should be fine provided you set the PDF file to print to 100% (or 'None' in the fit to printer margins).  If it's Treasure Hunt, well, then you'll have to talk to Maulei about it, since that's not by me.

My 3 favourite fan-made expansions that you haven't already printed out
* Family Feud by Frederick Renaud (24 tiles)
* Lavender Fields by wellisdesign (12 tiles)
* Perky Dragons by scotty13 & Lardarse (12 tiles)

The last printing I did was the Avignon City tiles, and those became a bit too small even on 100%, so the black borders became visible on the tile.

Earlier when I printed out about 20 river tiles (your custom tiles from the public download page) I had to enlarge them to fill out the tiles.

Earlier when I printed out about 20 river tiles (your custom tiles from the public download page) I had to enlarge them to fill out the tiles.
Those Public download tiles aren't in PDF and I did make the disclaimer that they would need to be resized.  They are all resized now on PDF.  Have you checked the Public downloads page recently?

I'm surprised that the Avignon City tiles are a bit small for you... do you have a picture to show it being too small?  Did you print from the PDF file I supplied with the two tiles or did you print from the image I attached in the post as a jpg?  The former (PDF) is the correct size, the attached image (jpg) will be too small (or too big, depending on your graphic software)!

Edit: Question for koolkat and mathguy89: Did you have any trouble getting the printed tiles to fit???

My favourites are forest, fishermen and the ones related because they add new elements to the game board.
