Just to let you all know I'm doing a
maintenance upgrade today of the forums and the main site. So at some point, both or either the front page or the forums will be unavailable for approximately half an hour at the most (I hope). Not sure exactly when I'll be ready, but when I turn things off you'll know it. (How's that for certainty ...)
There is one possible side effect that the forums may not be reachable properly for a short time after the process is complete, but I'm aware of it and will take steps to fix it if it happens (no need to email me). If you are typing up a huge long post, make sure you copy it somewhere first before pressing the Post button, I wouldn't want you to lose it just in case. (ctrl-A to select all, ctrl-c to copy if you are using a PC).
