If i'd known how addictive this game would be, I would have started out with the big box. I have the base game and Inns and Cathedrals. Should I just sell this and get the big box or should I hang onto it for the extra tiles?

Thanks,

Ryan

I would say hang on to it. There are multiple reasons to keep them. You could use the to play a large game or use them for tile crafting.

The current Big Box costs in Germany around €35 which is about the price of 3 regular expansions. So you'd still be cheaper off buying a Big Box.

This is a very common question.  HERE is another thread with the same question.  My response would be about the same.

The Big Box 2 and the Big Box 3 are on sale at £40 each in the UK from Heron Games: http://www.fwtwr.com/store/sale.asp

That seems rather high.  That's $67.23.  You can usually get them on ebay for around $55.  Although, oddly I can't find one on there now.

On the contrary Chris. That seems rather low for us Brits. I often look at board game prices on US based OLGS and am green with envy at some of their prices! The normal UK retail price for the Big Box is around £50 (with some OLGS charging up to £60 in some cases), while most of the large expansions retail around £13 each over here.

You can possibly pay as little as 25 Euros (if you're incredibly lucky) to get a Big Box from ebay.de (Germany), but when you factor in shipping costs to the UK of about 15 Euros, it is often cheaper and quicker to purchase over here... and you'd get English rules!
