Ok, when we each got a point per follower in our supply, we were unsure if we counted the Mayor or not.  We definately left out the builder, the wagon, and the pig and did not count those for any of that stuff.  All we counted were the small meeples and the big meeple.  The same goes for removing a follower; obviously the little and big meeple, but does the other stuff count to come off?

I can't cite anything, but the various FAQs I've read lead to to believe that the Large Follower, Mayor, and Wagon count as followers, while the Builder, Pig, and Barn count as figures. Therefore, things that can happen to, or count, followers also can happen to, or count, the Large dude, Mayor, and Wagon.

I'm not the final authority on anything, mind you. That's just the way we play.

I think something else that came up that made me wonder, is if the Mayor is the only piece of wood in the city, does he count as a knight or is he still classified as a mayor?  Does he get the points per knight and pennant when the pig lands on that wheel section?

I would say he is not a knight, but that is not from an official source.
