Each month , as a group, we will concentrate our focus on developing one of the "archived" expansions to get it to "completed".  Archived expansions are those where ideas have been proposed, but little or no work has been done to get it to "completed" (i.e. Public Downloads status.  I propose that as a team/group, we work through the issues and come to consensus about the final idea and then someone or someones (volunteers, hopefully) will create the tiles and the rules to get it ready for download.

Also, during each month, we will also vote on the next expansion that we would like to concentrate on the following month.  The options for January 2010 (voting in December 2009) are:

The Constable - idea by kissybooboo (1 vote previously)
Meeple Upgrades - idea by kjamma4
The "King" and Citadel Meeple - idea by Joff
The Apprentice - idea by Jabberwocky
Icons - idea by Deatheux
Oxbow - idea by Jabberwocky
Four Horsemen of the Acopolypse - idea by PinkPaiseley
Troubadours - idea by Ailurus
Here Be Dragons - idea by Jabberwocky
Sorcerer - idea by Ailurus
Sentinel - idea by chrallan

Remember, only vote if you are going to contribute (i.e. post your ideas/suggestions) next month.  To those named above - if you would like your expansion to be removed from the list, please let me know.  Vote by posting below, and please state what you'd be willing to contribute.  Thanks.  You may also change your vote if you wish, before the end of December.

You, sir, are correct.  I've removed it from the list.

Is Troubadors still supposed to be on the active list if nothings been commented on it for over two months?  I don't know all the etiquette of expansion ideas getting moved and put up for collaborative vote in the archives and I don't mean to step on anyone's toes, but if that one were an option given how long nobody's commented on it that would be my vote.

EDIT: There are several others on the active list that haven't seen much discussion for a while.  Some seem to lean towards archiving but some seem to lean toward being complete already (some of JPutts for instance and Reconquest of Gaul).  What are the various authors personal thoughts on the completeness of their expansions?

I'm voting for Meeple Upgrades.  Something a bit easier for next month.

I'd support the Meeple Upgrade or the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.  I've actually already posted my suggestions for an expansion of the expansion with simpler triggering mechanism (do I really want to count all the tiles left in the bag?) and broader, hopefully better balanced set of events.

I'd like to ask and get people's opinions about this:

What do people think about using Google Wave to work on group expansions like this?  It's basically a tool to write documents in a group setting over the internet.  Updates take place in real time.  We'd be able to edit eachother's posts (and it shows who edits what).  I think it'd be a way to keep things a little more organized.  What do people think?  I think in order for this to work, everyone has to agree, or at least everyone that's planning on working on the expansion together.  It'd definitely be an experiment.

I'd be willing to give it a shot, but I'm only available half the time.

Maybe the Sentry/Sentinel variant/expansion could be added to this list?

EDIT: I'll vote for sentinel then. It should be an easy one to complete.

Final votes:

Constable = 1
Sentinel = 1
Troubador = 1
Meeple Upgrade = 1.5
4 horsemen = 0.5

So it's Gwommy & ReformedCE with Meeple Upgrade for January - I'll leave it up to the both of you to get on with it.  Might I suggest sending kamma4 a private message as well.  Since October's and both of December's 2 expansion are still "in progress" I think I'll hold off a Feb collab (since it only has 28 days) and make March the next collaborative month.
