King and Robber Baron... again

Just wanted to revisit the topic of the King and Robber Baron once again, due to reading something interesting on BGG this morning.

Here is what I read,

"In the Icelandic version of Inns & Cathedrals, the King expansion is actually included (hence it is named: Kóngar, krár og kirkjur meaning Kings, inns and cathedrals).

In those rules both tiles score 15 points at the end of the game which was something I found fair. Of course I haven't tried it the other way but it seems some people don't like the old rules so I guess this is an attempt to please them."

When we use the King and Robber Baron, we simply award end scores at 10 points each card. This needs further investigation because if the Icelandic rules do indeed state this, could this 15 point score now be considered an 'official' 'variant'?

The 10 points each stems from T&B, but I've seen a lot of complaints that 10 points is not enough. I suspect that said people might consider 15 too low as well, but it feels more official even if it's just from an Icelandic distributor.

My usual rough guide, with base + I&C + T&B + K&S is 20 and 20. A lot depends on how many tiles (and which tiles) you play with.

My thoughts: The King and Robber Baron should score a fixed amount of points based on the number of players involved in the game.

2-3 players: 10 pts
4-5 players: 15 pts
6 players or more: 20 pts
