Title: Maori (new HiG/RGG game) Post by: Novelty on March 07, 2009, 11:39:49 am One of the new HiG games for 2009
(http://images.boardgamegeek.com/images/pic422823.jpg) Here's a preview of the tiles: (http://images.boardgamegeek.com/images/pic422824.jpg) (http://www.poeppelkiste.de/messe/2009/nuernberg/verlage/hg-maori.jpg) (http://www.goodgameguide.de/n09/n09maori.GIF) Is it me, or does it look like a Carcassonne spin-off with oceans and islands and boats... Title: Re: Maori (new HiG/RGG game) Post by: Scott on March 07, 2009, 01:18:35 pm Indeed, though there doesn't seem to be much in the way of landscape features. Score 1 point for each seashell?

Title: Re: Maori (new HiG/RGG game) Post by: Wishmaster on March 08, 2009, 06:58:47 am From BGG:
"The players explore the islands of Polynesia. Winner is the player who scores the most points from putting tiles on his display. Palms, huts, shells and boats on the tiles influence the scoring." Not a lot of help. 'Putting tiles on his display'? Either very bad English or You each lay a separate group of tiles, maybe? Title: Re: Maori (new HiG/RGG game) Post by: Wishmaster on March 08, 2009, 10:07:38 am Is this available as yet?
Title: Re: Maori (new HiG/RGG game) Post by: Novelty on March 08, 2009, 10:11:35 am I think it might be available in Germany. I don't think the English version is ready.

Kinda ticks me off if they keep telling us NO and then use our ideas without acknowledgement. I could be totally wrong though and I hope I am. |
