Title: RoboRally Post by: Bixby on March 05, 2009, 01:45:12 pm Any fans of the game RoborallY? Great game using programmed move mechanics. People who are adept at spatial relations will shine at this game.
I have the game but cannot locate ANY of the out of print expansions. Has anyone played the expansions? Thoughts? What was good and bad about the expansions? Regards, Matt Title: Re: RoboRally Post by: Tobias on March 05, 2009, 03:38:55 pm Any fans of the game RoborallY? Great game using programmed move mechanics. I have two different editions, and I am constantly scanning the market for the old expansions, but so far I have only managed to get hold of Radioactive. I have seen the others for sale plenty of times, but I am not yet desperate enough to crap out €170 for 3 more boards. One day I might, though... Radioactive is cruel, but fun :) Title: Re: RoboRally Post by: Bixby on March 05, 2009, 04:16:44 pm Thanks Tobias. That is a testimonial I was looking for.
I think I will engage in a project to make a bunch of 1" tiles for constructing Custom RoboRally boards. I could likely import Italian Marble for the tiles and still be under what it would cost to buy the four expansions on eBay. :D Title: Re: RoboRally Post by: Skull One on March 06, 2009, 11:08:46 am I own all of the original base and expansions from the US print run as well as the two german base sets and the new US base set.
Armed & Dangerous and Grand Prix contain some of my favorite maps to play on. I wish I could find more people to play it. I bought the 2nd edition just to get metal robots ::) An added bonus is that the boards are one sided in the older editions. We have a gaming night tonight; I am pretty sure we will play some RR :) Title: Re: RoboRally Post by: Bixby on April 16, 2009, 03:20:31 pm A wee celebration. I just found, bought, and received:

Everyone likes the additional stress brought about by the presence of the timer. {ed ;D Title: Re: RoboRally Post by: Tobias on December 02, 2010, 05:30:54 am I guess our group is a tad more vicious. That need to change! Title: Re: RoboRally Post by: Deatheux on August 04, 2011, 10:15:37 pm must try... or buy...!!
Title: Re: RoboRally Post by: Carcking on August 05, 2011, 08:49:19 am My brother owns what must be the basic game, although I am not that familiar. We've played it twice over the last couple of months. I can say we really enjoyed it both times. The first time was a little rough as were learning the rules and not doing everything correctly. The second event got better and we started to pick up on some strategy - although there is still quite a bit of luck involved. This is one we have to play more.
Title: Re: RoboRally Post by: Bixby on August 05, 2011, 09:50:40 am A couple of months back I set up a symmetrical map (I have two copies of RoboRally) and we played a four on four death match. No flags, just carnage. It was fun and silly.
