Title: Wings Of War Post by: Bixby on January 19, 2009, 08:26:57 am Since there are a few players here for this game, I thought I would start a thread.
(1) Anyone running a league? (2) Anyone develop their own scenarios? (3) How many players do you normally play with? Title: Re: Wings Of War Post by: canada steve on January 19, 2009, 01:21:41 pm Only been playing for a while but have played two and four player games, both being enjoyable. Havent created any scenarios yet.
Games club I belong to runs various leagues but not one for this as yet. We now have someone who has the WWII version so should be giving that a crack very soon. Title: Re: Wings Of War Post by: Wishmaster on January 19, 2009, 02:53:58 pm I've played it with six players - 3 English against 3 Germans straight fight to the death.
Also played it 3 (German) against 2 English. Not to hot on my plane types but on of the Germans was a slow moving large plane and it had a mission of leaving one point on the table, flying around a lighthouse (we had a holiday souvanir which was handy!) on the other side of the table and returning to it's start position. The other two Germans didn't have as fierce a fire power as the two English (I was one of them). If the Large German plane got back home they won, if we shot it down, we won - Excellent game!! Title: Re: Wings Of War Post by: Bixby on January 19, 2009, 05:41:10 pm I have all 36 Minis released so far and would love to get a league started. I have played a few two and four player games. Hosted a six player game. Managed to play in a ten player game at BGG.CON 2008 in Dallas that had a well designed scenario. Other than that, mostly hoping to get a league up & running.

I am pleased to say my league is finally get started this month. 8 Players. WooHoo. More importantly though, is that I found an awesome fan-based site for the game, much like this site is for Carcassonne. Check it out: http://www.wingsofwar.org/ If you sign up, put "Bixby" in the referrer section so I can connect to you and say hi. Happy flying... |
