Title: GQ11 Post by: koolkat on November 29, 2008, 06:18:19 pm I've just received the GQ11 tiles. I'll report as soon as I include them in gameplay. I think my favorites will be the spring with road (because it divides farms, the pig farm because it's my FFFF tile and the roundabout because it's my first 4-way road...
Title: Re: GQ11 Post by: Joff on November 30, 2008, 04:51:33 am and the roundabout because it's my first 4-way road... You mean the four roads split by a cloister :) Title: Re: GQ11 Post by: koolkat on November 30, 2008, 04:50:46 pm er ... that too. I haven't played with 'em yet. I thought there was also a roundabout. I'll check it out
Title: Re: GQ11 Post by: Novelty on November 30, 2008, 05:46:34 pm There are no roundabouts in GQ11. There is a 4-way roundabout in Catapult.
Title: Re: GQ11 Post by: koolkat on December 01, 2008, 06:13:06 am You're right. I think I'm starting to mix all expansions... Anyway the tiles on GQ11 seem to be interesting...
Title: Re: GQ11 Post by: Novelty on December 01, 2008, 06:30:51 am Oh and the pig tile is not a pig tile. It's just a normal farm...
Title: Re: GQ11 Post by: Joff on December 01, 2008, 08:40:25 am Oh and the pig tile is not a pig tile. It's just a normal farm... Heresy, I cry! That tile has got to be a pig farm!!! ;) Seriously though, Novelty is correct, that tile is NOT a pig farm. Title: Re: GQ11 Post by: koolkat on December 01, 2008, 03:26:13 pm Then I think I'll raise some there! ;D
Title: Re: GQ11 Post by: Novelty on December 02, 2008, 07:56:28 am That would be a house-rule and one of the more common variants.
Title: Re: GQ11 Post by: koolkat on December 02, 2008, 05:23:35 pm I hate to use house-rules, but I'll make an exception here... or not.
Title: Re: GQ11 Post by: Novelty on December 03, 2008, 06:56:18 am Well, HiG and RGG sometimes have different rules.
Witness 1. RGG's insistance to hold onto 1st Edition farm scoring rules while HiG was on 3rd edition for a long time. RGG has since moved to 3rd edition. 2. The difference nuance between the Cathar tile and the Siege tiles regarding how you can escape from a Sieged city I'm sure Matt could give more differences... Title: Re: GQ11 Post by: koolkat on December 03, 2008, 06:08:43 pm Well, I think the fact of two entities stating "different" rules is a proof that Carc is a game that make people discuss about it, and that's what makes it so much popular.
