Title: The right stuff Post by: koolkat on November 08, 2008, 06:22:01 pm Now that I play Carc for some time, I usually try to get some other people to play with me.
I realized that it can get pretty difficult to get someone who likes the same expansions. For example I love P&D and my wife hates it because she says that I am always too hungry. You see, she plays every game on the cooperative style. That's why she doesn't quite like the tower, which I do. Sometimes I gather 5 other guys and chicks to play Carc and I find it difficult to choose what expansions to play with. You see, I like all expansions, but the others don't. Some like one, another like other. And if I play with all or some, there's always some oral fights about gameplay styles. On other way I think it's rather frustrating to play just with base Carc when all expansions are available. Everyone likes to play Carc and in the end after players get some experience on the game, I think fights will end and people will adapt to expansions that they didn't like at the beggining. That's why Carc is one of the greatest games ever. personnally i adopt the munchkin rules about the expansions used in the game witch is : "the owner of the game choose all the expansion to play he current game. If another player does not agreed, just remember him/her : I AM THE OWNER!!" personnally i think this is not the good way to enjoy a game to intentionnaly remove some sets to keep one person happy on the playset. EVEN if the catapult sucks big time, i will play them, and accept(and endure) the idea.... Title: Re: The right stuff Post by: Deatheux on November 09, 2008, 09:32:01 pm but the barns can be played even of YOU are not in majority... at last at the end of the game YOU are encaissing the paycheck!
