Title: Rules questions - inns and cathedrals
Post by: sakipons on October 08, 2008, 05:55:22 am
I have two questions concerning inns and cathedrals.

1. Is it possible to place more than one inn on the same road or more than one cathedral in the same city?
I guess the answer is yes or else how would you solve the situation when two roads with inns or two cities with cathedrals are connected?

2. If the answer is yes, how are roads and cities scored when completed?

Thank you in advance
Pontus

Hi Pontus

To answer your questions:

1) Yes, it is possible to connect two Cathedrals and two (or more) Inns on a Lake together.

2) When completed, a road with an Inn on a Lake is scored at 2 points per tile making up the road, regardless of how many Inns on a Lake on that road.  Points do not 'double up' when using two (or more) Inns on a Lake.
Similarly, If a city contains two Cathedrals, then it is scored 3 points per tile making up that completed city. Points do not 'double up' when using two Cathedrals.

I think the answer is in CAR.

The answer is in the CAR as well as the original rules.  However, the text may not be clear, as it uses "one or more".
