Title: The River II - A question on cscs tile
Post by: wallyweek on September 15, 2008, 03:12:11 am

I've been wondering with my daughter if the cscs tile in the River II expansion (the bridge connecting two cities across the river) has 2 or 4 fields.

According to official rules, it should be 4 different fields as the bridge seems not to connect them; however we could also consider the bridge being over the field (opposite to the road tunnel) and so connecting the fields on the river banks, leaving only 2 fields.

Anyone can help us? ;)

As you say, officially there are four fields. On this tile it does look like there are two fields, and in the real world there would be. But he problem is, as John Sweeney pointed out in his question to HiG (http://carc.mjharper.de/page8/page8.html#Does_this_tile_have_four_farms_), that if this counts as only two fields, people will start debating every field in the game. So HiG opted for consistency even when that is seemingly counter-intuitive.

Great, thank you! :)
