Title: Abbey & Mayor expansion question
Post by: csmountain on July 15, 2008, 11:15:58 am
The rules & the FAQs don't address some of the circumstances brought on by the new pieces. I was hoping some of you could shed some light.

1) At the end of the game when a blue barn farmland area touches a town on one side and red farmer touches the town on the other side, how is the town scored? Would it matter if red has multiple farmers?

2) If a green farmer becomes attached to an existing blue farmland already claimed by a barn, does that green
farmer get 2 points per completed town or 1 (assuming there is no pig). The directions are unclear.

3) At the end of the game is player #1 still has their abbey but draws the second to last tile and places it on a spot w/ their builder, are they then obligated to play the abbey as their next move? If not, then player #1 would get to go 3 times in a row (drawing the second to last tile, followed by the last tile, leaving their abbey left to play). Or, if the turns are up does their abbey become null and void?

Thanks so much!!!

1) The FAQs assume 3rd edition scoring, which doesn't score the towns, but the farms.  In this case, blue and red both get points for the town.

2) Green gets 1 point per completed town if there are no pigs.  So if there are 3 towns, then green gets 3 points.

3) If the tiles are up the abbey becomes unusuable.  Footnote 154 in the CAR.
