Title: Availability for Carcassonne Post by: Deatheux on March 22, 2008, 07:54:29 am Do "Carcasonne : the Count, King and Consorts collection" will be in north America anytime soon??
BTW i finally cheat out the way to got the Cathars!! for less than 25$ Can!!! Deatheux. Title: Re: Availability for Carcassonne Post by: Scott on March 22, 2008, 09:21:38 pm It will not be released in North America. However, RGG will be including the new shrine tiles in their upcoming Cult, War, and Creativity expansion. The shrine tiles will also be included in the new Spielbox almanac which will be printing in June or July.
How did you get your hands on Cathars? I noticed on BGG a few days ago that the Big Box is out of print. This *might* be an indication that a newer Big Box is planned. Title: Re: Availability for Carcassonne Post by: Deatheux on March 22, 2008, 09:27:10 pm DAMN!!!!!!! i will buy it from an Ebay user un Germany........... :-s ::) >:( >:( >:( >:( :-\ :'( >:(
For the cathars, i cheat a bit!! i but the King & Scouts box, take out 4 tiles, go to my favorite paper work place, they print out the tiles on a self adhesive paper, then i cut the hell out of the dwgs, and stick it on the K&S tiles!!! the result us really awsome!!!(but i will find those 4 tiles ORIGINAL anyway!!) Deatheux Title: Re: Availability for Carcassonne Post by: Joff on March 23, 2008, 03:56:40 am If you have 'King and Scout', 'The River II' and 'The Count of Carcassonne' already, you will not need 'King, Count and Consorts'.
Included in 'King, Count and Consorts' are The River II, 'King and Scout'*, 'The Count of Carcassonne' as well as 5 new 'shrine' tiles. *it does not contain the 5 extra 'Hunters and Gatherers' tiles. These 5 extra tiles will be released to those in North America, Canada and UK, etc. as 'Cult, War, and Creativity' with other tiles not included in 'King, Count and Consorts'. Title: Re: Availability for Carcassonne Post by: Deatheux on March 24, 2008, 12:22:58 pm SERIOUSLY!!!!!!!!
in fact i've got Kings & Scout... the Count & the River II in "little" boxes, but if i want to got the 5 "heretic' tiles, i don't have to buy the "consort' set!?!??!??! then when Cult War and Creativity will be released in North America??? btw thx a lot for the hint Joff!!! i owe you a cold beer!! ;) Title: Re: Availability for Carcassonne Post by: Joff on March 24, 2008, 12:33:38 pm i owe you a cold beer!! ;) It would probably be very warm by the time it reaches me from America (i'm in UK). However, if you pay for my air fare to the States, I will let you off the cold beer ;) Seriously though, I believe that the 'Cult, War and Creativity' expansion will be released in April / May sometime. Title: Re: Availability for Carcassonne Post by: Novelty on March 24, 2008, 12:37:56 pm You can also pre-order the heretic tiles from the german magazine spielbox. Have a look at this thread (http://www.carcassonnecentral.com/forum/index.php?topic=270.0).
Title: Re: Availability for Carcassonne Post by: Joff on March 24, 2008, 12:52:07 pm This thread did say that that only 1 of the 'heretic' tiles will be the same, so hopefully the other tiles will be different arrangements of 'shrines', etc.
Some more details; "I just can tell you that one of the tiles (Kultstätten) is appeared in a collection of expansions called "Graf, König und Konsorten" as the only formerly unpublished part of the box. The other tiles will be completely new. The Cathars won't be included - they will not be reprinted. We will try to translate the complete Almanac into English for download at our website. As soon as we know more about the other tiles we will publish this over our website www.spielbox.de. Bye, Barbara" Title: Re: Availability for Carcassonne Post by: Deatheux on March 24, 2008, 06:17:21 pm Thx guys!! we'll just to made out an Carcassonne convension AT CARCASSONNE, that way, i could pay you all a cold beer!!!
you know, if star treck does that, why not Carcassonne players!?!?!??! Do you know somebody who can confirm the arrival of the Carcassonne products in north America?? thx again! Deatheux Title: Re: Availability for Carcassonne Post by: dwhitworth on March 24, 2008, 07:07:12 pm @Joff, Interesting! I hadn't interpreted what Barbara said that way. I had assumed that "one of the tiles . . is appeared . . " indicated a small translation problem and meant that the spielbox tiles would include all the Kultstatten. If you're right then I will need to get the RGG set here and the spielbox set . . . I should really do that anyway :)
@Deatheux, You organize the Carcassone convention in Carcassonne and I will be there and buy you a bottle (or two) of the best local wine! Meanwhile, my local games store has promised to phone me as soon as there is anything on delivery of the new RGG stuff in North America. Be assured I will post that info here if someone else has not already done so. Title: Re: Availability for Carcassonne Post by: Deatheux on March 24, 2008, 09:49:58 pm @dwhitworth : thank you very much! i can't wait anymore!!! i'm looking the FAQ so often, the word Shrine makes me sick!!! {dh :D
Title: Re: Availability for Carcassonne Post by: Joff on March 25, 2008, 09:26:47 am I can see how I might have got the interpretation wrong. Perhaps Barbara meant the other HiG game expansions included with the magazine will be different, but the Carcassonne tiles included would be the same. If so, it's odd HiG giving its blessing to release an already released expansion (surely sales of their official release would be affected and vice-versa for the magazine). We'll just have to wait and see :)
Title: Re: Availability for Carcassonne Post by: Novelty on March 25, 2008, 09:40:07 am When is that expansion going to be released again?
Title: Re: Availability for Carcassonne Post by: Wishmaster on March 28, 2008, 01:21:46 pm These 5 extra tiles will be released to those in North America, Canada and UK, etc. as 'Cult, War, and Creativity' with other tiles not included in 'King, Count and Consorts'. Joff, Where did you read about Cult War and Creativity being released in the UK? I've not see that and have been looking around quite a bit. Good news though!! Title: Re: Availability for Carcassonne Post by: Joff on March 28, 2008, 01:48:41 pm I did not read about a release in the UK, but as it is being published by Rio Grande, I am assuming that we will see this in the UK as it is the English equivalent of the 6th expansion, and would follow the same distribution channels as all the other Rio Grande stuff :)

What about New World - Anyone found some more positive (UK) evidence about a release yet? Title: Re: Availability for Carcassonne Post by: Deatheux on April 04, 2008, 07:47:13 pm yeah, we are NOW in april, no developpement for release from RGG? ???
