Title: Tower under bridge.
Post by: jcardwell3rd on August 03, 2011, 09:33:52 pm
So there is that one tower piece with the tower base dead center. If I build a bridge over it does it block a tower from going over 1 level? What if the tower is already tall and I want to play the bridge? I assume the easy answer is to slide the tower over a little.

Heh, this is interesting. I hadn't considered that combination. We haven't played the Tower with Bridges, so we haven't had to cross that bridge  ;D

We would probably just slide the tower over...believing it would not be the intent of HiG for either to interrupt the other.

Nice.

I'm not sure what the ruling on that might be, but I think I would side with logic on this one.  If one object blocks the path of another, you're kinda out of luck.

I agree with CKorfmann. The tower has to be on its foundation, and the bridge has to connect to the road, so neither can be moved to accomodate the other.

At least not more than what would naturally fit under the bridge.

I have reconsidered this and now agree with CK. Whichever feature is there first trumps the other. Neither one is entitled to exist if the other is already there. If a bridge is built before the tower gets to section two then the tower is stopped at section one. If the tower if built to two sections the bridge cannot be built. This is a reasonable conclusion.
