Title: Completing River and River 2? Post by: spunt on July 10, 2011, 07:35:07 am Hi,
We are having a big discussion over here about the following: Last time we played, we were placing the river tiles like it says in the rules: no immediate U-turns. We do allow non-immediate U-turns. We came to a point, where we had 2 options: Lay the next rivertile and thus making it impossible to lay the next one and completing the river or decide to take that one tile out, so that we could move on. If the next tile has the same problem, taking that one out too, until we can place a river tile without any problem, of the lake tile if all others have been laid, or taken out. Personally, I want the river to be completed, with lake. If river tiles are taken out, that's not a big deal. How do you guys take care of this problem? I'm interested to find out... We all prefer the river branches to be closed with either a lake or a spring so we take a little license when placing the final tiles. I guess it's a matter of preference for the group though. Like any other feature it could remain unfinished, which would technically be the letter of the rule.
We usually start with the fork and mix another fork into the bag, along with a spring and a lake. We set a spring and a lake aside until all the river tiles are placed. Sometimes we have to subjectively relocate a tile or two to get the final lake and spring in place. It's pretty informal but we're an informal bunch. Title: Re: Completing River and River 2?
